Some body image disorders (also known as body image misperceptions) are body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), anorexia nervosa, and bulimia nervosa. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or talk therapy can be effective in treating body image disorders. However, recent research suggests that medication, given for long periods, can be quite effective in preventing relapses...
