Introduction

Hello, my name is Kyra, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I attended NMHU and received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology in 2017. I received my MSW degree in 2020 and began practicing right after. While attending college, I worked as a mental health assistant in a residential treatment program for youth for 3 years. That is where my passion for therapy and helping children/adolescents began. I have experience in substance abuse, criminal justice systems, out of home placement/ CYFD, children with developmental delays, family therapy, and psychotic disorders. I have worked in a juvenile detention center, a residential treatment center as a clinician, and currently with small children aged 0-3 with developmental delays. My belief is that therapy is for you, not the clinician. I am here to guide you, but also support you in the things you want to work on. I am rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because our thoughts are connected to our behaviors. I want to help children because they deserve a voice, and they are capable of making positive change. I will support you in your journey , whatever that may look like for you.
