Introduction

I believe in a holistic approach, integrating mind, body and spirit. This approach is supported by my use of depth psychology and based on the positive belief that we are all capable of healing. With the right environment, guidance, and willingness to reflect on ourselves honestly, we can move towards individuation, or becoming whole. Common in this type of work is the use of symbols, dreamwork and shadow work. Additionally, I have training in sand tray therapy, which can be an effective, non-verbal way to work with trauma. Regardless of the technique, the basis for my approach is centered around the relationship between client and therapist and adapted to the client’s needs. I am driven by a desire for connection. I believe that through connection on a deep, authentic level, healing becomes possible. My work with clients involves focusing on this relationship. Some of my areas of specialty are anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, transitional times, relationships/divorce, women in mid-life, caring for caregivers, navigating relationships with addicts/alcoholics, and working with trauma. I generally work with adults and young adults.
