I am a passionate advocate for empowering clients and families through a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based philosophy. I believe that all individuals have the ability to thrive and overcome obstacles in their lives when provided with the right tools, support, and opportunities. I take a straightforward, honest approach to therapy, using proven methods including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Attachment Based Therapy, depending on individual goals and needs. I received my masters in social work with a concentration in children, youth, and families from Portland State University, OR in 2020. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Clinical Sexual Offense Therapist (CCSOT) in the state of Oregon. I have been working with adolescents and young adults involved with the juvenile justice and/or child welfare system since 2015, including in residential, corrections, and outpatient settings. Additionally, I have experience working with pre-adjudicated youth and non-system involved young people who have experienced complex trauma. I have specific expertise and experience working with young adults who are struggling with problematic, harmful and/or illegal sexual behaviors. I am passionate about working with "transition-age youth" (~18 to 25yrs) who have experienced justice system involvement and are working towards reintegrating successfully back into the community while learning to be independent.
