Hi, I'm Zack Saunders! I started in the mental health field in 2019 by working for a non-profit agency's supervised group living (SGL) home. Staff in the home assisted people with a severe mental illness diagnosis, such as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, as people who lived in the home learned how to live on their own. I completed my Psychology, BA through Indiana University Southeast (IUS) in 2019 and continued to complete my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a Mental Health Concentration through the University of Louisville's (UofL) Kent School of Social Work (KSSW) in 2022. I also earned a License in Social Work (LSW) in Indiana in 2022. I am currently working toward earning a Clinical Social Work (CSW) license to provide services for people in Kentucky. I began providing Mental Health Therapy services in July 2022 and have been continuing in the field ever since. I use Motivational Interviewing (MI), Active and Reflective Listening, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help people work through stress. I have provided therapy for people with a variety of diagnoses, including schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, anger, and PTSD. My services can provide a meaningful impact by allowing you the opportunity to work through what's causing you stress--hopefully to the point that you feel confident and satisfied much of the time! I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP). If you would like to feel better and to overcome issues in your life, I would love to work with you. My main goal is for you to to resolve stress, build hope, and pass it along. Would you like to give it a try?
