Specialties: LGBTQIA+, Gender Identity, Transgender Issues, Chronic Pain, Chronic Illness,

Introduction

I am a trans, queer therapist serving the LGBTQIA+ community from a liberated, decolonized framework. As a trans, queer, neurodivergent professional, I know the importance of working with an LGBTQIA+ therapist who understands the nuances of the queer experience. I believe in forming strong, authentic connections with clients and championing you in your various stages of life and identity. For 15 years, I have worked with the LGBTQIA+ community through advocacy, therapy, community-action and leadership, and I am currently licensed to practice therapy in Tennessee, Georgia, and Illinois. I practice from a harm-reduction, liberation psychology framework andincorporate elements of narrative, expressive, and integrative therapy models. I lead with a directive, down-to-earth, and approachable style, and my focus is exploring the stories you have been told about yourself and your world in order to move toward your most authentic, liberated self. I work primarily with LGBTQIA+, transgender, queer, and/or neurodivergent people. However, I also work with clients outside of these identities seeking support through an embodied, liberated approach. My practice, Embodied Therapy Collective, also offers somatic services provided by a certified somatic practitioner. Inquire about sliding scale options. I can also provide a superbill which can be submitted for out-of-network insurance reimbursement for most PPO insurance plans. Check out our website to learn more www.embodiedtherapycollective.com.
