Hi! I am Yashika Fomby. I am a Licensed Counselor and I have been in the field for over 17 years. I specialize in working with survivors of family trauma, family dysfunction, and abuse. The impact of trauma from our younger years will come out in committed adult relationships, which is often what leads people to therapy. It’s essential to find a therapist who fully “gets” you, and understands your experiences. Sometimes we will start working on family of origin stuff, sometimes we start with the presenting issue or current stressor that brings you in. I work from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, and I use a combination of psychotherapy techniques that are catered to the individual and the goals we come up with. Please feel free to reach out to me by phone or email if you'd like to ask questions to determine if I am a fit for you!
