My passion for helping people is rooted in the belief that all individuals are worthy of a healthy, positive, functional life experience. Life isn’t always easy and curveballs are expected. However, we can learn how to maneuver those hits that life throws at us so that we grow from being victims to becoming survivors. I have had the honor of working with clients from all walks of life and it is always amazing to see the growth, no matter how big or small, in each and every one. I began my career thinking I wanted to be an Engineer and quickly realized it was not for me. I then transitioned to Psychology because I was interested in how our minds worked. Even though I learned a lot about the brain (through painful and sufferable science classes) and how powerful our minds are, I felt that Psychology was not for me. Then I discovered the world of Social Work. I fell in love with Social Work because it taught me that our lives aren’t just shaped by what’s going in the Brain or our Mind. Our environments, our lived experiences, our social relationships, all shape who we are. We are complex individuals, and that’s ok. I have experience working with Active Duty Military, Veterans, Court-Mandated Clients, Clients with Co-occurring disorders, Couples and Clients in Inpatient Facilities. Being a Military Spouse and moving to all parts of the world has allowed me to gain invaluable experience working with a wide range of diverse clients. I can’t wait to help you get started on your journey to greatness!
