I am a licensed professional counselor and a Christian. I personally believes in God. I understand how important it is to have a Christian counselor. If this is something you want to integrate into your counseling process, I can do this and can use the Bible and your relationship with God to help you with whatever struggles you have. Integrating God and your beliefs is not a requirement to have counseling, but it is something I can offer. I earned a Master of Science degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013. My focus is to help adolescents and adults heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. Wyvonne is a parent of a child with special needs and started Helping Hands Counseling & Wellness to support the emotional well-being of other parents on their journey. However, I treats adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health disorders. I desire to assist you with discovering the good that God has built and is building into your life and relationships. As obstacles are identified that hinder the expression of who you are in Christ, he will help you begin the pathway of transformation toward a way of relating that is healthier, a way to grow in loving others well. Experience the convince of receiving care in the comforts of your home at night and during the weekends. No parking problems and no childcare issues. Although I offer Individual therapy, my primary way of helping clients is through group therapy. Group therapy provides support and encouragement for working on goals that address topics such as strategies for surviving trauma, healthy ways to manage anxiety and depression, tools for building self-esteem, and more. I offer the following groups: 1. Parenting Interesting Children - Join other parents and caregivers of children with mental and behavioral health challenges for conversation, peer support and information about community resources for your family. 2. DBT SKILLS Group - If you’re feeling stuck in emotional suffering, a DBT therapy group can help you better manage mood or behavior instability; poor self-image; negative, judgmental or rigid thinking; and relationship issues. 3. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Groups for Anxiety and Depression. - Participants learn strategies and techniques to cope with depressive thoughts, worries, and rumination.
