Introduction

Hi my name is Ladonna Beachy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in working with trauma and providing training, supervision, and consultation to individuals and organizations. My career started in child welfare, then services to the homeless in an urban center, to work in a maximum security mental health hospital. I served in the hospital as the Trauma Informed Care Coordinator for nearly a decade providing direct trauma treatment and training for staff related to trauma treatment needs of individuals with complex trauma histories. I’m a trauma informed care expert, committed to helping adults, couples, and families learn how to process traumatic events and move toward connection with themselves and those they love. My work focuses on understanding how trauma can impact our lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I focus on building coping skills to then hold space to fully process traumatic events so that individuals and families can resume a life of purpose and joy. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals and I utilize a menu of treatment options so that the treatment can be tailored to the individual/family focusing on building on strengths and factors that have assisted in building resilience. I’m passionate about providing trauma supportive strategies and also offer trauma informed care training and consultation for organizations interested in becoming trauma informed. Additionally I provide Licensure Supervision through a trauma informed lens for social workers moving toward clinical licensure in Missouri. If you’d like to schedule a free consultation call with me, please send an email with your contact information and availability. I look forward to hearing from you.
