As a middle child, I was destined to become a therapist. Never as accomplished as my older brother, certainly not as coddled as my younger sister, I learned from an early age that in order to get the attention I craved, I had to create chaos. My misguided efforts allowed me to see how my behavior impacted others and shaped the dynamics of my family, and I have been fascinated by human behavior and cognitions ever since. In these difficult times, it’s normal to feel inundated by our stressful environment. Maybe you’re looking for healing, or motivation to realize your full potential. My passion is helping adolescents and adults realize healthy perceptions of themselves while developing resilient habits and lasting coping strategies. Using a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems theory, I educate all my clients on how behaviors, thoughts, and environment contribute to problems and collaboratively explores effective coping skills to independently manage these problems going forward. I am multiculturally competent and enthusiastically strive to learn about the unique perspective that every client brings to the therapeutic relationship. However, the competencies I most proudly exude are warmth, relatability, and humor to every therapy session. If you’re interested in learning more or have questions about therapy in general, I would love to hear from you!
