To help achieve the goals you have in mind, whether you wish to improve the quality of your life or better cope with life's difficulties, I offer many years of experience and a collaborative, non-judgmental approach. My orientation is wholistic--mind, body, and spirit--in order to help you with the areas in which you want to focus. I use a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, was earned at at Lakeland University in Sheboygan, where I was awarded the Psychology Student of the Year. I also have a Master of Science degree in educational psychology, with emphases in community counseling and school counseling, from UW--Milwaukee. Having lived in Wisconsin since childhood, I chose to remain here for my education and to live the good life. I am Wisconsin through and through. Having worked in a number of settings, including outpatient mental health, university counseling, school counseling, and in-home autism treatment, I have broad experience as a counselor and therapist. These varied experiences have all enriched my career; however, my heart lies as an outpatient psychotherapist, so this is where I’ll stay. On a personal level, balance in my life ensures my own mental health. Quality relationships with my family and friends, a healthy and active lifestyle, a strong spiritual connection, and a good book reflect my top priorities. The more of these that I can accomplish in the surroundings of nature, the better!
