Introduction

Hi! I am Wendy, I am a Limited Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who is focused on assisting couples navigate through the ups and downs that come with life and marriage. I have a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, a BS in Psychology and am currently working on my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and certification to become a Certified Sex Therapist. My sessions focus on conflict resolution, effective communication, and shared understanding. I work eclectically with each client or couple to develop a plan that works best for them to be successful and meet their goals for therapy. I approach my work from an experiential, systems-based position and am cognizant of cultural, ethnic, and economic differences/challenges. I have worked with couples, families, and individuals in maneuvering through life’s challenges such as grief and loss, addiction, infidelity, divorce, parenting concerns, familial/relational concerns, sexual related topics, and more. I believe everyone should have a safe and judgement free space to share concerns, be vulnerable, be heard and seen, and just exist. I would consider myself a person who is direct, considerate, compassionate, and understanding. I believe the client is the expert of their experiences and life and I am simply an aide or mentor in their journey. I enjoy using humor and remaining authentic and genuine in the therapeutic setting.
