I specialize in providing care to veterans, families, couples, and individuals facing overwhelming life struggles in need of guidance. My clients are typically committed to learning, processing, and mastering skill sets that will generate personal growth, better relationships, and, most importantly, improved quality of life. I have helped people navigate complicated parent-child relationships, such as a teen participating in risky behavior that mirror’s the parent’s past. I provide therapeutic support to single parents, single grandparents, and multi-generational caregivers. I also work with people in recovery from addiction, religion-based abuse, toxic workplaces, manipulation, and indoctrination. I approach each session with compassion and respect. I meet my clients where they are in life and use various methods to nurture healing and growth in a safe, comfortable setting. I have a Master’s degree in the Science of Psychology. Additional educational credits I have obtained are in hypnosis, Gottman, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, addictions, play therapy, sand tray, therapy with puppetry, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, life coaching strategies for the divorced, neuron-linguistic programming, meaningful recovery through 12-step work, and emotive freedom techniques. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental. Therapeutic work and care-giving are my life’s calling. Before acquiring licensure, I provided services to the elderly facing terminal illness, adolescents and adults with severe behavior and mental health problems, children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and youth and adults struggling with addiction and substance use. I have facilitated process groups focused on education and wellness. I have previous paralegal experience and understand the stress of navigating bankruptcy, financial reorganization, and undergoing civil or criminal court procedures.
