Reading the personal statements of counselors, as you are, already demonstrates strength, wisdom, and perseverance. It is not an easy thing to acknowledge that one would benefit from the insight, experience, or guidance of another. Everyone has a "too much," whether it makes sense to anyone else or not, and taking advantage of the experience and training of a counselor shows insight, courage, and a desire to improve your life and relationships. I work with adults, adolescents, children, and couples with a focus on anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship issues, and premarital counseling I use an eclectic approach that is matched to the goals, needs, and characteristics of each person with whom I work. I draw most strongly from the techniques of the Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Reality, Family Systems, and Schema Therapy approaches. My approach is also informed by graduate work in other fields of Psychology. I would love the opportunity to collaborate with you in improving your life and relationships. I have worked through challenges in my own life and benefited from the counseling process myself. It is now my privilege to contribute to the lives of others
