Introduction

The stories we tell ourselves shape our perception of who we are and the world around us. But just as we create those limiting or even destructive narratives, we also can create new narratives that are more positive, supportive and beneficial. My passion as a therapist is to help people find the ways in which their thinking or their behavior is stuck and then help bring about transformation in their lives. It is sometimes messy and scary work, but the growth and change people experience through this work inspires me every day. Much of the frustration we experience comes from relying on old tendencies that no longer help us. These tendencies may have been formed in childhood or earlier in life and at the time they were necessary albeit limiting coping tools. But as our lives evolve, these tools and tendencies no longer serve our adult selves. Together we will explore new skill sets that match your current set of challenges. This will help empower you to make change in your life, whether it’s the way you treat yourself, the way you perceive the world, or the way it feels to be you. I’ve always been inspired by the transformative power of the mind. In both my psychology studies and my training as a clinical hypnotherapist, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible transformation that can take place when we explore our inner selves with honesty and compassion. But changing ourselves is not easy, nor is it something we should expect to inherently know. On occasion, we all need a different perspective to jolt us from our immobility. It is my privilege and honor to help guide my clients as they work to find a new path forward.
