I identify as a faith-based trauma-informed LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. As a faith-based therapist, I will often incorporate my client's unique spiritual, religious, and/or philosophical outlook to foster resilience, courage, and strength during treatment. My purpose is to serve as a lighthouse to guide my clients towards healing by providing a space of unconditional acceptance. You want to trust others but you worry about getting hurt. You rather leave a relationship before they leave you. You find yourself anxious in relationships and you look for reassurance from your partner. You're worried that good things wont last forever. You will learn to understand your body, mind, and emotions. We will process triggers and stop anxious spiraling. We will reprocess past trauma. You will learn tools/exercises that will help you feel connected and in control of your body. Life will feel more authentic and you will find new confidence. Relationships will begin to feel safe and healthy. Most people turn to counseling when they feel they have no where else to go. Clients often come feeling defeated, confused, and lost.
