My name is Carlos Quintero, LMFT and I am the CEO & Founder of Vida Family Counseling & Consulting, Inc. I specialize in working with adults. I have extensive clinical experience working with individuals struggling with relationship problems, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management, domestic violence, trauma, and abuse. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety Treatment, Problem Solving Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Crisis Management. Using evidenced-based techniques, I will assist you to formulate individualized treatment plan goals that will help alleviate symptoms. Together we will develop practical skills and useful strategies personalized for you. Your mental health and well-being are important to me, and I believe we all have the strength and the ability to heal. I received my Master's Degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego. I have worked in Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County, and Tijuana, Mexico. My unique experience working in Tijuana, Mexico afforded me the opportunity to expand personal attributes vital to working with individuals and their families directly affected by trauma, deportation, and other issues rising by proximity to the USA/Mexico border. As a CAMFT Certified Clinical Supervisor, I provide clinical supervision services to Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSW) and Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) needing clinical supervision to pursue their license through the California Board of Behavioral Services (BBS). It is a tremendous honor to witness the journey and professional growth of other therapists. I have completed all BBS required supervisor training, and I am familiar with completing BBS licensing paperwork.
