My name is Victoria, and I am the founder of Courage to Heal, LLC. I have several years of experience working with individuals and families at different stages of their lives. I have experience in assisting with a range of concerns and diagnoses, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, coping with major life changes, parenting difficulties, experiences with trauma, mood disorders, and difficult behaviors. I have worked with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. When working with clients, my approach is often client-centered. I understand that every person is different and unique, and that my counseling strategies need to be diverse. The techniques I commonly use are grounded in the theories of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I try to assist clients in understanding the connection between their past and the way they see the world today, building healthier ways navigate day to day life. I believe that the most important aspect of counseling is the relationship that is built between the therapist and the person receiving services. I try to ensure that I take the time to truly get to know each individual seeking my help, and to work on building the foundation for a healthy therapeutic bond. From the beginning of treatment, my goal is to determine the best way to offer assistance, and to tailor each treatment plan to the individual needs of the person I am working with.
