Introduction

I am a licensed independent social worker and received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from The Ohio State University. Much of my career has been spent working with kids ages 10-17 in a variety of settings. I have experience providing mental health services in a hospital, school based, and outpatient setting. During my time in outpatient, I also provided counseling to adults of all ages. I have worked with clients through many different concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, executive functioning, anger and emotional regulation. Sharing your personal story with another human can be scary and uncomfortable. Choosing a therapist that you can connect with to support your journey of self-reflection and healing is important. I strive to build a good professional relationship with my clients and create a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable being vulnerable and sharing their stories. I am a generally laid-back person and believe in being my authentic self with clients. I understand that some clients prefer a quiet and calm space to reflect while others prefer a space with creativity and humor. My approach to therapy is affirming and collaborative. You are the expert on your own life and my role is to guide us towards the goals you would like to achieve. Reaching out for therapy is a brave first step on the road of healing and the next step is finding a therapist that is the right fit for you. If you would like to discuss your therapy goals with me, please send me a message using the contact link below and we can set up some time to chat.
