Introduction

Wouldn't it be great to stop feeling overwhelmed and have the energy to move forward? I provide a safe and supportive space for you to get the help you need. You will experience non-judgmental compassion. You will leave sessions with results and ready to face challenges. Together, we collaborate on setting and achieving treatment goals so you can overcome obstacles, calm emotions and thoughts, and work through pain. I offer two types of therapy in my practice, described below. Mental Health Therapy: I have expertise in helping clients heal from Depression, Anxiety, and Life Transitions involving trauma, grief and loss, family and other relationship situations, and job or school challenges. Maybe you feel depressed and unsure what steps you can take to find hope and happiness again. Perhaps your mind is in constant over-drive, worrying about the future, regretting the past, and unable to find peace. Sometimes stressful situations pile up and you need help fighting burnout and feeling overwhelmed. By working together, you will receive support, recognize your strengths and build new ones, and thrive. I also specialize in working with high-achieving professionals, particularly those in healthcare fields. We can address the unique professional and personal challenges you face to optimize resilience, protect against burnout, and navigate career challenges and transitions. Health Psychology: I have expertise in health psychology, which includes working with clients as they adjust to medical diagnoses. Whether you were recently diagnosed with a medical condition or have been living with one for some time, we will work together to manage the unique personal, work, and/or family challenges you face. Medical conditions I have experience helping clients cope with include but are not limited to neurological conditions like Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, cancer, heart disease, paralysis, gastrointestinal disorders, and serious wounds or injuries (including severe burns and spinal cord injuries). I also have helped clients adjust following long hospital stays and complicated recoveries from surgeries. Additionally, I work with caregivers as they support loved ones with medical conditions. As a caregiver, you deserve a safe space to work through the challenges caring for an ill loved one brings. About Dr. Victoria and Her Practice: I bring extensive experience treating a wide range of concerns related to mental and physical health. I earned my PhD in both Clinical and Biological-Health Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in the Chicago, IL area and my postdoctoral fellowship at UW Health (University of WI Hospital and Clinics) in Madison, WI. I have worked for several different healthcare organizations in clinical and management roles. I am licensed in the state of WI, as well as 40+ other states listed here https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap. So, I can see clients located in many different places at the time of our sessions, offering flexible care. Moreover, I am a trusted expert media contributor for MarketWatch, Spectrum News, as well as WI local Fox, NBC, and ABC affiliates. Together, we will take an integrative approach and use science-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and relaxation training and mindfulness approaches. Clients say my empathy, understanding, and sense of humor make therapy with me a safe and productive experience. You have my unconditional support. At this time, I am not accepting new clients. For Wisconsin residents, I am an in-network provider with UnitedHealthCare, Optum, UMR, and Aetna insurances. For residents of other states that I am licensed in (listed here https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap), I am an out-of-network provider. For self-pay clients, sessions are billed at $200. A sliding scale is available on a case-by-case basis, based on financial need. I request that all clients keep a credit card on file and sign a consent for automatic billing so that session time can focus on your treatment and not on finances. If I am not in-network with your insurance and it has an out-of-network benefit included in the coverage plan, you may choose to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurance company. I can provide you with a SuperBill if you would like to submit an out-of-network reimbursement claim. Please contact your insurance company to ask about: (1) coverage for out-of-network providers (2) limits on the number of visits in a calendar year (3) how much you will be reimbursed by the insurance company per visit
