Introduction

**Finding the right support is key. Call or email me to schedule a free consultation, but please note: I do not treat active addictions, eating disorders or acute psychiatric conditions. And if you have felt suicidal or routinely harm yourself, I recommend seeing a provider covered by your health insurance. I offer teletherapy on a sliding scale, but do not accept insurance at this time. If need, I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. ** Therapy increases awareness of habitual ways of thinking and behaving that unintentionally create suffering. It can also illuminate core beliefs, how you experience connection in relationship and how you frame choices. We can explore your past experiences, beliefs, desires and values as well as clarify your goals and find solutions that work for you. My therapeutic approach will be tailored to your needs and abilities. If the problem involves relationship, I find attachment theory, assertive communication and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) most useful. For anxiety, stress and depression my approach will be grounded in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. I will teach you simple practices to tame anxiety, regulate emotions and relate to your thoughts in a new way. And when grieving a loss or facing a big transition, having a deep listener to support your process can be so valuable. If your vehicle was stuck in a ditch you would call for a tow. Likewise, if you feel stuck in a mindset, career path, behavior or relationship that is not working for you I do hope you reach out. There's no need for you to struggle alone. About me: I've been practicing therapy for nearly 20 years, and have served in all levels of healthcare. I've enjoyed living on both east and west coasts, and spent many years as a student, giving me a deep understanding of the pressures of college life. I honor and welcome all forms of diversity, have faith in your resilience, and believe that we all deserve to be well here.
