Relational Trauma | Bilingual and Bicultural | LGBTQ+ I am a clinical mental health counselor specializing in relational trauma. Through a client-centered approach, I support individuals through their healing journey with compassion. I believe the inherent therapeutic goal is to achieve greater self-understanding in order to gain a healthy self and improve relationships with others. I believe in the power of self- understanding and self-compassion to promote growth and transformation. As a bilingual and bicultural counselor and a daughter of an immigrant, I understand the unique challenges individuals from diverse backgrounds may encounter. Also, being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to express themselves. I recognize the importance of cultural humility and incorporate it in my counseling approach, honoring each client’s individuality and experiences. My educational background includes a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, including a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. My specialties include assisting clients: navigate and heal from complex trauma within interpersonal relationships; and gain self-understanding and reclaim their sense of self for a healthier and more fulfilling connections with others. I am an LGBTQ+ advocate and recognize the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals encounter and offer a safe and affirming space for healing. Under the Behavioral Health Agency of Patricia Martinez Burr, PhD, LPCC, NCC, I provide therapy services for adults. In addition to therapy, our agency also provides Comprehensive Community Support Services to Medicaid recipients (adolescents and adults) in need of support through their recovery of mental health disorders. These services might include coaching and support in employment, education, individual daily activities, leisure, and recreation. I am intentional in creating a safe space where the client can freely express themselves, explore emotions, and discover new insights. If you are ready to embark on a transformative journey towards healing, growth, and self- discovery, contact me to schedule an appointment. I look forward to joining you on your mental health journey.
