Introduction
Hello, My name is Vanessa Z. Morales, and I am a bilingual Spanish speaking Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCC who is committed to helping individuals (with a focus on veterans and military families), and couples to build healthier connections. My work focuses on exploring the client’s inner world while implementing an understanding of the mind body connection. I am passionate in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions (veterans and military families), and adjustments. My background includes experience in a domestic and sexual assault shelter, working with the Latino community in a private practice, providing therapy in a comprehensive community based mental health facility to individuals of all ages, and crisis interventions and strategies to individuals in a crisis center. My therapeutic approach is person-centered utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma focused. My goal is to create a safe space during counseling sessions and collaboratively work alongside clients with respect and empathy.
