My name is Vanessa Heffington and I have been working as a clinician across several settings since 2014. I received my Bachelors degree from Chico State and went on to complete my Graduate degree in Counseling at Sacramento State. I also completed a continuing education program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through Florida Institute of Technology. Since 2014, I have worked in ABA, a private practice, community based mental health, and education based behavior intervention and mental health counseling. While working in ABA, I focused on language development, cognition, and adaptive skill building. In private practice and community based mental health, I worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families through individual therapy, education based behavior intervention and counseling, social skills development in the individual and group settings, and caregiver psycho-education. My eclectic experience provides me with a unique and well rounded perspective which allows me to be flexible and meet my clients where they're at.
