Hello! My name is Valerie Wade, and I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years experience in the corporate and private practice world. I offer counseling to adult clients faced with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, workplace/adjustment issues, relationship/parenting challenges, substance use/abuse, self-esteem, faith-based issues and athlete development issues. My therapy style is warm and interactive with a good dose of humor when appropriate. I will be honest with you but gentle and compassionate. I will employ strategies and techniques that work for you. My approach is driven by a person-centered philosophy which combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy. While I am committed to treating all persons with respect and dignity, I can also offer a Christian faith-based therapeutic approach to persons who want to use the Biblical word of God as their source of truth and strength to live a life of abundance.
