I have been working as a professional counselor for a decade and have worked in a variety of different setting across the country. I am Bi-lingual in Spanish and am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I approach therapy from a client centered perspective meaning your goals for therapy are what we work towards. Although diagnoses are important at times I do not believe that they define a person or what treatment should look like. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) alongside EMDR in much of my work specifically around trauma. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and Spanish from Southern Oregon University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. I studied in Mexico and have traveled throughout South America and Mexico. I grew up between New Mexico and Oregon and love that Central Oregon feels like both. Per most bios you will see in this area I also love to hike and paddle board with my two rescue dogs.
