I am Ugonna Duru, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I bring 10 years nursing experience. I specialize in the care of patients with ADHD as well as other mental health conditions such as depression, mood disorder, anxiety, Panic disorder etc. Schedule with us, where we navigate ADHD diagnosis and treatment together. Through comprehensive assessments and tailored strategies, we uncover the unique facets of your ADHD journey. Embracing a holistic approach, we blend therapy, education, and lifestyle adjustments to empower you towards sustained well-being. Our Process Step 1 Contact us for a free 10 mins consultation. Step 2 Schedule an initial evaluation which typically lasts between 45 mins -60 mins, during which we review your symptoms, medical history, gather data about any past diagnosis, and treatment lifestyle habits. I will make treatment recommendations that best suit your unique need, which may consist of one or more of the following medications, holistic interventions, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, diagnostic tests/lab work, and specialist referrals when necessary. When it comes to medications for ADHD, stimulants like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Ritalin are commonly prescribed to enhance focus and concentration. Non-stimulant options such as Strattera, Qelbree, and Wellbutrin offer alternatives with fewer side effects. Each medication is carefully selected based on individual needs and considerations, ensuring a personalized approach to your ADHD management. Step 3 Follow-up visits are scheduled 4 weeks following the initial consultation, during which your treatment plan is reviewed, we discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan, update medical history, and modify the treatment plan or medication if necessary. Our visits are via a secure Telehealth platform, I will work with you to tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific needs. Contact us today to get started.
