Introduction

The Centre for Rational Living Therapy, PC was founded in 2022. If you are struggling to feel and act the way you want too, I can help. My work focuses on identifying and changing maladaptive ways of thinking causing our unwanted feelings and behaviors. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping individuals reach their goals. I am interested in helping individuals and families learn how to get well and have long term results. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, (CCTP). I am certified in Rational Living Therapy, (RLT) and I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, (PCIT). Tyson has been awarded the Diplomate in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (DCBT) by the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists (NACBT). Rational Living Therapy (RLT) is a very instructive, systematic form of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. RLT is based on other forms of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Neuro-linguistic Programming, research findings in perception, linguistics, brain functioning, operant conditioning, classical conditioning, social learning, and general semantics. RLT is a motivational therapy designed to help individuals learn to rationally counsel themselves. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral problems. PCIT is conducted through "coaching" sessions during which you and your child are in a playroom while the therapist is in an observation room watching you interact with your child through a one-way mirror and/or live video feed. You wear a "bug-in-the-ear" device through which the therapist provides in-the-moment coaching on skills you are learning to manage your child's behavior.
