Introduction

Finding a therapist for your needs is not a one-size-fits-all. Often, just finding the right person to talk to, who you connect with, can be the foundation for change. I was recently trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and pursuing certification in EMDR at this time. I am offering EMDR therapy to augment your current talk therapy. This is useful if you and your therapist have noticed a stuck point. In collaboration with your primary therapist, EMDR can target a specific goal to help remove a roadblock(s) that are getting in the way of your progress. In addition to EMDR, I also enjoy helping clients through a variety of stages of life, whether they are going through a tough time, exploring existential questions, adjusting to college, or exploring relationship patterns. I create a supportive environment that helps clients feel safe to talk about and explore thoughts, feelings, and concerns. This in turn provides a space for clients to explore healthy ways to manage difficult emotions so they can lead a more fulfilled and productive life. Ultimately, together we enable you-at your own pace- to be your own healer and change maker. In order for us to assess whether I am the right therapist for you, or if you are a candidate for EMDR, I offer a free consultation call. It’s important to know that I maintain a very small practice with evening appointments in-person in Lexington, Virginia. The option for video appointments can be discussed after having met in-person.
