Introduction

Guided by Biblical principles and sound scientific research in the field of psychology, I will partner with you aiming to help you process, grow, and integrate lessons learned through the hardships you may be currently facing with the goal of helping you develop and strengthen skills and healthy habits that will benefit you long after counseling ceases. I will listen to you without judgment and with a genuine care for you and your well-being, and I ask that you be willing to be totally open and honest with me. I believe that counseling is a collaborative relationship in which my role is to assist and support your growth by providing honest feedback, clarification, teaching, and recommendation of appropriate interventions. Counseling often results in many benefits to you as the client, however, it's not possible to guarantee any specific outcomes or that this process will always be easy and comfortable. What I can say is that positive outcomes in counseling are far more likely when you take ownership of your own growth and play an active role in the process, and put in the work to achieve the positive change you desire. I will always have your best interest in mind and I will support you as we work together to achieve the goals we set together. Our sessions are for your benefit and I encourage you to direct the topics of conversation to explore the thoughts and ideas you feel are important to you. I'm glad you are here seeking to make positive change and I believe that God will use this process for your good. I believe that counseling should take a holistic approach and that there are 5 categories of health that contribute to, or detract from, true health, wellness, and happiness. These categories are: physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual. These categories of wellness are all interconnected and, I believe, should all be considered together from a holistic viewpoint. Because I hold this view, I may ask you about lifestyle factors that may be seemingly unrelated to mental health, but are actually intimately connected. My goal is to help you implement healthy habits in multiple domains of your life to contribute to a greater overall sense of health, well-being, and happiness. If any of this resonates with you or a loved one, please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting with you!
