If you have made it to my profile, you are struggling with emotional issues in your life and need support. The most important part of a therapeutic alliance is to feel safe and supported in a non-judgmental space to explore the issues that are causing you distress in your life. Rooted in empathy and active listening, I will assist you in navigating barriers and implement coping strategies leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life. Dedicated to fostering healing and self-discovery, my therapeutic approach is a blend of trauma-sensitive, attachment-based, & psychodynamic perspectives. I work with individuals and couples that have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, & life transitions. Creating a supportive space for self-awareness, my goal is to guide you toward a clearer sense of self, more authentic relationships, and positive change. Our work together is collaborative, and we can structure your counseling in a way that meets your needs and feels authentic to you. I attended Smith College in Northampton, MA and graduated with a master’s degree in 1998. I have over two decades of experience being a therapist, and have worked with Veterans, dual diagnosis/community mental health, and 11 years in end-of-life care with hospice and palliative care. I specialize in intimate partner violence (RISE certified), trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss. I have certifications in EMDR, Palliative care and grief. I will collaborate with you to develop a trusting relationship and hold space to support you. If you think we may be a good fit, please reach out for a 15-minute consultation or schedule an appointment. I am available for virtual appointments or in person at my office in downtown Boise.
