Timmie John, LCSW I am Timmie John, LCSW. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2003 from Utah State University, and my Master's degree from Walla Walla University in 2006. I love working with individuals and families to help them find harmony in life. I use a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR. I focus on how systems (such as family, work, school, etc.) impact an individual and vice versa. I am a trauma informed therapist, and I believe that reframing trauma can help alleviate intense thoughts and emotions. I understand that we are all doing our best, and sometimes we need support to find the harmony we are looking for in life. A sense of humor and a gentle listening ear go a long way! I have worked previously as a Psycho-Social Rehab Worker at Family Care Center, as a therapist at LDS Family Services, a therapist at Tueller Counseling, and a social work supervisor at Solace Hospice. I also have led several years of bereavement groups for Hospice of Eastern Idaho. I taught Family Relations and Parenting classes for Brigham Young University-Idaho in the Home and Family Department online and on campus for five years. I have experience working with individuals and families of all ages, and I look forward to meeting you!
