WHO I HELP: Do you struggle with stress, anxiety, or depression that affects your relationships, your career, or your day-to-day life? Maybe you have an addiction that is holding you back? Do you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or frustrated by these issues and not know where to turn? Do you wonder if life could be more fulfilling? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious and overwhelmed by the competing demands of life and trying to find more balance. If you are motivated to make important changes in your life, therapy can be a big help. HOW I HELP: I believe your life can be more fulfilling and that therapy can be a key to this. I start by meeting you where you are. I help you by individualizing therapy to meet your specific needs. I offer client-centered, trauma-informed, compassionate care so you can begin the journey of finding the healing you deserve. I work within a psychodynamic framework. FINDING THE RIGHT FIT FOR THERAPY: Finding the right fit is important. Therapy is a weekly time commitment. Being committed to the change process involves showing up and speaking as freely and openly as you can. From the patient point of view, it is important to have a belief that you can improve your life with the help of the therapist. We might call this: "faith" in the process. I specialize in individual therapy and therapy is long-term. I want to help my patients get to the root of their issues and sustain meaningful changes that will last a lifetime. GETTING STARTED: Please feel free to contact me with any questions using the contact button on this page, by calling me at 512-400-0301, or by emailing me at tim@timothyyoungcounseling.com. I work with adults, ages 21 and up. Once therapy has begun, we will spend a few sessions talking about your goals and your history. Then we will begin the work of helping you to reach your goals and build the life that you desire. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHY THERAPY?
