Welcome to Timber Therapy, LLC! My name is Tim Porter, the owner and sole therapist. I was born and raised in Casper, WY where I continue to live with my bride and children. Before going back to college, I worked in the oilfields and construction industry for about 20 years combined. I attended Liberty University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology before earning a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wyoming (Go Pokes!). I went back to college with the purpose of working with men. However, I find myself regularly working alongside people from all walks of life using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy among others. All people receive the dignity, respect, and love they deserve as human beings with me as their therapist. When I am not working, my family and I like to travel, hunt, fish, camp, play softball, and many other outdoor activities.
