***Insurance Coverage for: Optum, UHC, UMR, Cigna, and Caresource*** My name is Tiffany M. B. Chouteau and I am an Ohio licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory designation. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Wittenberg University and my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University. I have over 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, LGBQT youth and their families with various issues such as adjustment issues, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, school adjustment, depression and behavioral concerns. I have worked in various therapeutic settings including: school based programs, inpatient adult programs and youth partial hospitalization, with the past 8 years working in outpatient therapy services. My counseling approach is to provide a therapeutic environment which allows client and therapist to work collaboratively with their support systems to achieve client-directed goals. I strive to provide a supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment during the therapy process. My therapeutic approach is to provide therapy that is genuine, straight forward and compassionate to all clients while establishing trust and rapport in the therapeutic relationship. I believe that the key of successful therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship and I make sure to spend an adequate amount of time getting to know my client, which allows me to build trust and allows my clients to decide if I am the best fit for them in a therapeutic relationship. My therapeutic framework is a combination of trauma informed, strength-based, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, play therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and motivational interviewing techniques based on the needs and goals of the client. I work hard to keep up with the latest evidenced based treatment modalities to give my clients cutting edge therapeutic techniques.
