Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional with 13 years of counseling experience. I'm a member of the Cherokee Nation and was raised in Oklahoma and Wyoming. I was a Navy Hospitalcorpsman during the Vietnam War. After studying a year at Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany, I graduated from Cal State Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in History. I earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO and taught in a K-12 Christian school in Fridley, MN for about 2 years. I rejoined the Navy in 1982 and became a photojournalist. I led photojournalist teams throughout the Eastern & Southeastern United States, Scotland, England, Germany, and Italy. I was invited to interview Navy staff assigned to the White House twice during the George H. W. Bush administration. While assigned to a Seabee Battalion on Guam, I became a PADI-certified Master Scuba Diver and Divemaster. I retired from the Navy in 1996 and began a career in information technology, earning a masters degree and a doctorate in business administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. WhiIe working as an IT manager, I taught business technology courses in the evenings at several public colleges and private universities in Minneapolis/St. Paul, including National American University, Concordia University, and Cardinal Stritch University. I became a mental health therapist after earning an M.S. in counseling psychology from the University of West Alabama. I'm particularly interested in nutritional psychology and healthcare data science. I've had great success teaching nutritional self-care to clients with depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
