Welcome to Theresa M. Swanson, LCSW therapeutic counseling services. I hope to provide you with an understanding of how the significant events in your life have impacted your brain, your emotions, your body, and how they are all connected to your well-being. I have ten years of experience in social work with a prior background in education. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology from Dominican University in 2004, and a Master of Social Work Degree from Washburn University in 2011. My work experience includes several positions in Early Childhood Education, School Social Work, Victim Advocacy with the U.S. Army, and private practice serving populations from 5 years-old through adulthood. Specialty services include: EAP, crisis counseling, parenting, child development, education, victims of crime, military service members and their families, veteran related issues, and military sexual trauma. I look forward to our time together as you share with me the intimate details of your life.
