*Accepting New Clients* I typically work with clients who struggle in their day to day life due to a history of trauma. My approach recognizes that people who have experienced trauma have often developed parts of themselves that allowed them to survive, and that these parts are frequently triggered, leading to symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance use disorders, among others. I utilize Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment which incorporates several modalities including Internal Family Systems (parts work) and mindfulness. Through our work together, you will develop a new relationship to those triggered parts and unload the burden of shame. I work with all clients that experience these issues, though I am especially passionate about working with parents who find their traumatized parts impact their ability to parent effectively. As a parent myself, I recognize the unique experience of being triggered by your child's overwhelming behaviors, while also feeling like society is judging your every move. With me you will experience the compassion and understanding that is so critical to your progress in therapy.
