Introduction

My name is Terri Spain, LICSW, PIP, owner of Informed Counseling LLC. I am licensed to provide mental health related therapy services in the State of Alabama, License # 1634-4309C. I started Informed Counseling in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. It has been a time in all of our lives when we need connection and we need each other. My therapeutic style is very laid back. It is my goal to help clients feel comfortable and relaxed while they share their experiences. This is a place where you can be yourself, free of judgement. You get the benefit of evidence-based practice in a low-pressure environment. I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance related concerns, relationship concerns, body image concerns, eating disorders, trauma, parenting concerns, serious mental illness, and adjustment. My hope is for my clients to feel empowered by learning practical and useful coping skills that can help them in their everyday lives.
