Introduction

I believe each person is like a lotus, blooming beautifully despite life’s challenges—much like the mud that nurtures its growth. Many of us face stress, fears, worries, and traumas that can hinder our pursuits or make us feel isolated. My goal is to create a safe space where you can learn to navigate life’s difficulties and know that you’re not alone on this journey. In my perspective, a therapist is like a companion, walking with you toward your chosen destination, offering guidance and resources. Whether it’s dealing with grief, addressing controlling behaviors, processing trauma, or just having someone to listen, I’m here for whatever you want to work on. Similar to the lotus symbolizing strength and renewal, you also have resilience and the ability to change. Growing up in a Vietnamese household within an American society has given me unique insights and inspired me to become a mental health counselor. Recognizing the challenge of finding a relatable clinician, my primary goal is to build trust between us. My approach is quite eclectic, drawing inspiration from various therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and some aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS). This approach allows me to tailor interventions to your unique needs. With a background as a community-support specialist, I’ve closely worked with families and children coping with trauma in school and center-based settings. My dedication centers on fostering healing and growth from a non-judgmental standpoint, providing a safe space for people of all ages. Outside my professional role, I’m a food enthusiast who enjoys discovering great Korean BBQ and exploring unique restaurants. During leisure moments, you might find me immersed in the art of crocheting. Understanding the importance of connecting with a counselor who understands your experiences, I’m here to offer the support and understanding you deserve. Let’s embark on this journey together, moving towards healing and growth. I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you!
