Introduction

Hi There! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community myself and am passionate about care serving my rainbow community. I believe that our relationships have the most capability to heal and we can't do that alone. I became a counselor to be a part of a community that fosters growth and resilience. I work to provide my clients with a healing space through person-centered, trauma-informed, narrative and feminist approaches. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity issues and I believe that creative spaces are healing spaces. I see individuals of all ages 13+ for online and in-person therapy in Tumwater, Washington. My approach is integrated and considers each individual. My role is provide a space of acceptance and compassion where you come first. I chose Birch Tree Counseling for my practice because birch trees have been used for generations to provide healing and detox effects. I grew up with two strong birch trees outside my home. They remind me of my place in the world and who I am even as changes persist. My experience: I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a BA in Journalism in 2018. I then graduated from Northwest University with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021 with a practicum/internship experience with LifeWire in Bellevue. There, I helped survivors of intimate partner violence stabilize their lives and gain help from their communities. I worked in group private practice as an associate therapist for three years learning play therapy, creative arts integrated therapy techniques and developmental psychology. I use Headway for insurance and billing.
