If you're seeking individual or couple's counseling, please contact me to schedule an appointment. Here's a bit about my professional background to help you determine if we'd be a good fit: I've been in the mental health field for five years, following seven years of military service in various roles. My educational background includes psychology and clinical social work from the University of Cincinnati. I'm trained in several evidence-based treatments (EBTs): Trauma therapy: I utilize Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which integrates body-oriented interventions with talk therapy to address the physical and emotional effects of trauma. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns related to traumatic experiences. Crisis intervention: I employ techniques to provide immediate, short-term help to individuals experiencing acute emotional, mental, or behavioral distress. Gottman Method for couples: This approach helps couples increase closeness, manage conflicts, and build a stronger relationship foundation. Logotherapy/Existential Analysis: This therapy focuses on helping clients find meaning in their lives, which can be particularly beneficial for those struggling with existential concerns. My clinical experience primarily involves working with Veterans, Service-Members, Law Enforcement, and their families. I'm also passionate about supporting individuals dealing with race-based issues. I have extensive experience in various trauma types, including sexual abuse, combat-related trauma, and physical abuse. If you're unsure, I offer free 15-minute consultation calls. Should you decide to continue your search afterward, I'd be happy to assist you in finding a better fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
