Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate and Nationally Certified Counselor. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from The University of Alabama in 2017 (Roll Tide Roll). Taylor is multiculturally competent and well-versed in working in various places, ranging from nonprofit organizations and outpatient programs to in-home settings. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, Mental Health Professionals of North Carolina, and The National Society of Leadership and Success. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Alabama football, traveling, practicing yoga, painting, and spending time with her loved ones. Taylor is passionate about working with children, individuals, couples, groups, and families. In order to help her clients relearn their purpose, identify their strengths, and build healthy foundations, Taylor incorporates an eclectic (person-centered) approach that involves Play Therapy, Inner-Child Healing, Somatic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Art Therapy. She has provided services to clients addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, sexuality, trauma, broken relationships, life stressors, autism spectrum disorder, communication issues, behavioral issues, spirituality, and more. Taylor’s approach in session is to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment that establishes a foundation of trust and growth. She believes that collaboration between therapist and client is necessary for the empowerment of understanding thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as making changes when necessary or helpful to the client’s life. Each individual has unique experiences that make-up who they are as a person; Taylor believes that therapy is a great tool that allows her clients to discover their strengths and contribute them toward the pursuit of wellness.
