Introduction

Dr. Black is a Licensed Psychologist who is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Education, as well as the Arkansas Psychology Board. She received her Doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas in August of 2020. Populations Dr. Black has experience with include those struggling with depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, family-relational difficulties, learning disabilities, conduct disorder, substance use, and trauma. Typically, individuals she works with range in age from 3 to 18-years-old. However, Dr. Black has expanded her practice to work with adults ranging in age from 18 to 45-years-old. Her knowledge and experience allows her to provide comprehensive psychological services which include individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, psychological assessment, and psychoeducational evaluations. Dr. Black works to meet individual’s needs using behavioral therapies (Applied Behavior Analysis and Cognitive Behavior Therapy) in combination with a client-centered and strengths-based approach (Solution Focused Therapy). She also draws on knowledge and practices associated with Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Conscious Discipline, and Circle of Security. She believes all individuals have strengths and she works to build off of those strengths to instill hope in those she works with and meet client-centered goals.
