Hello! I am a Registered Psychological Assistant (#PSB94027791) practicing psychotherapy in the state of California. I was raised in the San Fernando Valley and had an interest in becoming a film editor before attending college. After taking an introduction to psychology class in college, I decided to shift her career path towards becoming a therapist and working with children. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University Northridge. I then decided to start a new adventure in Hillsboro, Oregon and pursue my Master’s Degree at Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology in 2015. Following completion of my Master’s degree, I returned to California to begin my Doctoral program at Pepperdine University, from which I graduated in 2023. Throughout both my Master’s and Doctoral training, I was passionate about working with Spanish-speaking clients and helping to remove some of the stigma mental health services and topics have in the Latine community. I have also received training and supervision in administering neuropsychological assessments in Spanish. I completed my pre-doctoral internship with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health-Specialized Foster Care in South Los Angeles, where I worked with children and families who had open cases with DCFS and would benefit from mental health services. Also during my pre-doctoral internship, I had the opportunity to interview adults with a variety of diagnoses to ensure they could receive services they needed at a local community mental health clinic in South Los Angeles. Growing up in a multicultural family, culture is important to me, especially since one’s cultural background is a large component in making someone who they are. When working with clients, I use a client-centered approach, taking into account all of the aspects that make a person who they are. My areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, life transitions, LGBTQ+ community, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am able to provide services in both English and Spanish.
