Tara Russell

Behavioral Health Therapist Common Thread Psychotherapy PLLC
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Sex Therapy, Sexual Dysfunction,

Introduction

Congratulations on taking a step towards healing! I have experience working with concerns around sex and sexuality (LGBTQIA+ welcomed), substance use/addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin, support with work/life balance, medical professionals with vicarious trauma, isolation and loneliness, support with healthy attachment. The most important variable in successful therapy is the individual's feelings of trust and safety with the therapist. My first goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable to be yourself. Once a safe space is created, we can begin to explore difficult topics, while I offer support and guidance while offering feedback and insight on patters that may be keeping you stuck. While we exploring these hard topics, it is my job to keep the pace at a safe level, and bring in laughter, positivity, and reminders of all the strengths you hold.
