Experiencing mental health symptoms does not define who you are. No matter the impact on your life, the ability to cope during crisis can determine how quickly you return to healthy mental functioning, I have learned that in our society, some strive to have approval from others, while many struggle with intrusive thoughts or abnormal behaviors stemming from experiences with various traumas, abuses, lifestyles or identities. As an LPC I want to provide a safe haven for all populations, in a setting where judgement is nonexistent and the person is placed before the symptom by using an eclectic style tailored for each individual need. I graduated with a MS in clinical psychology, with a specialization in clinical counseling in 2019. I have experience with homelessness, child welfare, acute child and adolescent therapy, families, couples, adolescents, children as well as adults and substance use disorders. In both the community and within for-profit behavioral health institutions. I believe no matter the experience, disorder or perceived barrier, each day may be less difficult if we have positive ways to cope, and it is possible to achieve peace within if provided proper skills and mental health support. Please allow me the opportunity to assist in your journey to achieve healthier mental functioning and obtaining some peace of mind.
