You may experience a range of emotions, from crying spells, anger, and frustration to guilt, isolation, and forgetfulness. You might have trouble sleeping and eating or feel like isolating yourself. These symptoms can accompany grief and make the journey even more challenging to navigate. During your healing process, you need support, validation, and a safe space to express how you feel without judgment. With grief, it can feel like you must pretend to be okay and keep going as if nothing happened. That's not fair to you or your loved one.
