Introduction

Hello my name is Tamolyn “Tammy” Williams, MA, LPC, NCC. My passion is to empower every client with the skills and mindset in order to overcome challenges presented in everyday life struggles. My goal with each client is to focus on building a healthy sense of self-esteem through my modality of counseling. I believe that it is imperative to encourage adults and adolescents to live in a way that brings individual inner peace and joy. I am known for a warm, relaxed, and comfortable approach to counseling. I am Person-Centered Counselor, which means that I utilize an unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence approach, according to the client’s individual needs. I have worked with clients from a strength-based, positive, and affirming perspective. I am proficient in American Sign Language and also provide services to the hearing impaired community. I began my journey in the mental health field in Durant, Oklahoma focusing on assisting individuals with independent living skills. After understanding the needs of others and the joy I received, I realized that the helping profession is where I was destined to be.
